Lead the Way as a Concrete Quality Control Manager at Suncore Construction & Materials!

Suncore is seeking a Concrete Quality Control Manager to oversee all aspects of quality assurance in our concrete operations — from materials testing to customer support and compliance. As Concrete Quality Control Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the consistency, safety, and performance of our concrete — and lead a team that shares your commitment to excellence.

Things You’ll Do 

• Lead the quality control team across lab, plant, and field operations
• Ensure all concrete and aggregate testing meets required specifications and industry standards
• Oversee data collection, reporting, and analysis using lab systems 
• Coordinate with Plant Operations to monitor mix consistency, moisture levels, and material properties
• Support Sales with quality-related customer inquiries and on-site troubleshooting
• Develop and deliver in-house training for technicians and educational sessions for customers
• Maintain, calibrate, and ensure readiness of all lab and field-testing equipment
• Lead safety practices within the QC team and report concerns promptly
• Manage schedules, staffing, and certification tracking for QC personnel
• Stay current on industry standards and ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, ISPWC, ITD, and other applicable guidelines
• Maintain an insurable driving record and lead by example in the field and the lab

Here's what we're looking for:

• ACI Field Grade 1 certification required; additional certifications (ACI Strength, WAQTC) strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of concrete mix design, materials testing, and quality systems
• Experience with relevant software: Stonemont QC, Command Batch, BCMI, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to review and interpret project specs and testing standards (e.g., ACI 318, ASTM C94, ASTM C33)
• CDL and transit mixer experience a plusHigh school diploma or GED required; technical education or degree preferred
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physical tasks (lifting, climbing, etc.)
